- In general, serve as host/hostess for the Lodge & oversee activities at the Lodge so MSC members & guests may have a pleasant time in Vermont.
- Reside at the Lodge & be a member of MSC.
- Closely monitor member & guest sign-in, noting guest & member (sponsor) names. On weekends, crosscheck names of people signing in vs. the room assignment sheet. On weekdays, check people on the membership list before admitting them & make their room assignments. Make sure payment, by check, is received when members sign in.
- Be present & available at the Lodge from 6:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Fridays & Saturdays as required to fulfill the above responsibilities & to greet and show members & guests their rooms. Also, instruct members where to park.
- Orient new members to the Lodge as necessary: show locations of rooms, bathrooms & showers; where to put food (labeled with their name), skis, poles, snowboards, helmets, etc. Instruct members & their guests to: clean kitchen (including all dishes, cookware, stove, sink, counters, etc.) after use & to put items in their proper place; clean rooms on departure.
- Wash the Lodge dish towels & bath mats weekly or more often if needed. Keep kitchen & bathrooms stocked with paper products.
- Purchase emergency supplies for Lodge, such as coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, paper products, etc. as needed. Submit receipts to treasurer for reimbursement.
- Place bagged rubbish outside for collection on Monday mornings.
- Inspect & clean refrigerators/freezers weekly and discard spoiled or unidentified food as necessary.
- Turn off non-essential lights as necessary.
- Sell discounted lift tickets- by check only, made payable to :"MSC". Keep applicable records of all ticket sales.
- Enforce Lodge regulations, including parking of vehicles. Report any non-compliant members and/or their guests to the Board of Directors.
- Each Monday, mail checks & copies of the sign-in sheets for the previous week (night lodging, meals, tickets) to the records/data keeper.
- Oversee the cleaning staff.
- Respond to contractors as needed, i.e. plowing, furnace, alarms, etc.
- Oversee the temperature of the building.
- Lock doors when no one is at the Lodge.
